Dark purple. Dark fruit. Violets. Plum, meat, pepper. It's got sediment which I thought provided character. Had with spiced salmon which wasn't quite fleshy enough to go with the wine. Would gladly drink again with grilled meat.

Structured, but it felt constructed in a way I'm not used to what with all my French drinking. Still, great big fruit and green pepper flavors, enough acidity and body to keep everything in a precarious balance of more is more.
