Conservancy Livermore Valley Petite Sirah

My last bottle of 2012. Inky purple-red in color. Mint and red fruit in nose. Tight, needs time to open. Cola and raspberry flavors, later sour cherry with length, tart, minty cola aftertaste. Light weight seed tannins in finish. Nice value in an everyday supermarket wine

Purple red. Jam and cola notes in nose. Cola, salt and soy in mouth, tart citric finish with light berry flavor, coarse weight tannins in finish initially. Later, prune, plum and cranberry flavors dominate. Needs time to open

Big nose, lighter in the palate, kind of open ended, no real bite or anything. It's ok.

Velvety, smooth, fruitforward, has developed some interesting parfume-like notes, still drying tannins, with hints of pepper in the finish. Earthy aftertaste

Used to be great some years back but now pretty average and not very interesting.

Initial abruptness but smooth thereafter. A heavy bodied wine

A little sweet for me and falls kind of flat. Phil likes it.

Needs to sit for a day or two and then it's fruity and mellow

Not my favorite..wouldn't buy again. Has a bitter edge
