2016v. Dark purple. Lots of ripe dark fruit: plums, Concord grapes, dark cherries. A little bit of earth and black pepper. Mild tannins with a little grip. A nice, fruit-forward alternative to a Southern California zinfandel. Very food friendly. At 14.5% ABV, the alcohol is there but it's not overpowering.
