After an hour of decant, this approachable 08 St Emilion was open for business with opulent nose of ripe plum, cedar, dark chocolate, forest floor, and hint of anise. On the palate it showed a bit more berry fruits juiciness and some peppery note. Quite intense acidity, but tannins were round and sweet.
