2012v. Old world red fruit on the nose (cherry, raspberry, cassis, dried strawberry), a little minerality, and cedar and mocha from oak aging. Hits the palette dry and hot from alcohol, and then the fruit follows. A good amount of tannins, but there's enough age on them to make them not too grippy. A lackluster mix of flavors and slight alcohol imbalance but I've had worse Bordeaux for the sale price of $13. Merlot/cab franc/cab sav. 12.5% ABV.

Mar 31st, 2021Smooth and easy to drink. Very distinct smell of a flower pedal, especially on the cork. Enjoyed with spaghetti marina.

Aug 14th, 2018Very good, dry, paired with ribeye, asparagus, and mussels. Great pair. Leads to dessert of ice cream.
