Outstanding wine! Aromas of blackberries, cherry cola and violets. Big dark fruit flavors with hints of cedar, licorice, vanilla and smokey dark chocolate. Balanced with silky texture and chewy tannins. Great QPR - Sub $20 Bottle. Revisited in May 2020. Still outstanding! Wish I had more!

Deep dark opaque inky purple and full bodied. Dark berry fruit with notes of tobacco and liquorice leading to a slightly sour moderately tannic finish. Alcohol is also a little high at 14.8% and not fully integrated contributing to a sharp finish. Not to my taste.

Like Bogle, these guys produce real quality in CA at a good price. Not subtle, but unctuous and textured. A little too sweet.
