St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend

Blackcurrant, elderberries, graphite. Oak.

This is black fruits. Black currant. Dark soil. Good acidity.

I do appreciate how dry it is, but it’s flavor profile strikes me as a bit one-dimensional for being open for a few hours.

Not super aromatic. Green bell pepper on the nose. Young more tart fruit on the palate. Red plum. Good amount of acid and medium tanin. Medium body.

Brought a case in house as I like a good St-Emillion Bordeaux and it’s early, but I opened a bottle to get a feel for how this purchase would play out, and I think it’s going to age nicely. It’s nice even now with appropriate breath, about 90 minutes, and I think in 2020 it’ll be a wine I’ve invest in wisely.

Dry, drinkable red

Great body and really smooth. Barely needed to air. Only bad thing is that it had little specks near the bottom.

Solid wine. Recommend decanting for an hour or two.

Just the way I like French wine....dry
