I decided to open, even though it's got years left because, hey why not? Very nice stuff. Elegance in a bottle. Medium to full bodied, it's exhibiting aromas of cedar, nuts, and a hint of mint. The palate is all juicy fruits and vanilla with a little bit of earth thrown in for good measure. The finish is long and all about that funk. Mostly, Merlot, this is a big wine for Medoc but it still has enough subtle nuances to please everyone.
