Full bodied, extremely dry. Dry all the way through, almost coarse. Strong woodsy flavor. Dryness overwhelms fruity taste and other spices. Least favorite Bordeaux and least favorite wine to date. Decent price but other bordeauxs offer more for the same price.

Good earthiness, medium bodied, good for warm weather. Nice summertime quaff with steak from the grill.

Inky violet red. Green pepper is less prominent and the body is juicier and fruitier than other cheap Bordeaux I've had. Oak age defines this: the tannins are big but silked out considerably, and the aroma and finish are decidedly that pruney oak deal. Part of me likes the sharp raw green pepper thing, but this is much more drinkable. This is a buy-again winner.

Rating on potential. After 2 hours and a vigorous decant this wine had typicity and depth. The baby fat began to shed and some semblance of its future began to emerge.
