2018 vintage. This 27 hectares Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois estate prides itself on having prestigious neighbours, bordering Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe. It is a well-balanced wine with good fruit and soft tannins, and while the oak is integrated, it is a bit too toasted for my liking, making it a bit vulgar. But if you like toasty oak it is good value.

Oct 19th, 2020Has a pretty nose, less dry then the average Medoc. 2015, but tannins are soft, lower in acid then an adv Medoc, nice black cherry. Strawberry shortcake. I’d pairwith almost anything but tomato based sauces.
