Genuine Bordeaux character, good natural color, not over-made.

Remarkably good condition for a 28-year-old cru bourgeois. Brilliant color, excellent clarity, pretty tannins. Showing minimal oxidation for a wine of this pedigree. Lots of dried flowers, plum and red apple skin character with resinous herbs, tar, old leather and orange peel. I doff my cap to the most devoted collector who curated this collection for us. Truly outstanding provenance.

All Reviews (albeit 4-5 yrs ago) are poor, so I am hoping to find the good! When you find a 2014 in your local grocery wine dept..a must try!
On the nose barnyard at first, violets, milk chocolate, plum, earth, minerals, cherry cordial and black fruit.
Color dark ruby with bricking and a clear rim. Soft tannins, medium bodied and high acidity.
So far the palate is showing licorice, pencil lead, graphite, pepper, plum, mushrooms, cocoa dust and young blackberries.
Post 90+ min. decant..this wine is heavy on earth, minerals and acidity. Definitely makes you search for the fruit, give ample time to open up! Old World in style! A fun wine to decipher!

Dark and deep. Floral and sweet but not overly interesting.
