Château Mourgues du Gres
Vin de Pays du Gard Terre d'Argence White Rhone Blend
2015. Tasted and purchased from the domaine in Beaucaire, France. My favorite of their whites. Pale gold color. Light aroma of tropical yellow fruit and white flowers. The palette is full of flavor: juicy yellow apple and little tart pineapple, cleansing acidity, and a nice medium dry finish with some stony minerality. Like bottled sunshine from the south of France. Blend of viognier from Pont du Gard, roussanne, and petit manseng (the latter two are grown on plots around the winery where wildflowers grow next to grapes). 14.5% ABV.
