Château Maurac
Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend
Thursday night I opened the 2010 Chateau Maurac Haut-Médoc Bordeaux. This wine is a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon.
On the nose there was black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, licorice, spice and dark earth
On the palate was black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, bell papper, herbaceous, licorice, tar, cigar box and earth.
This wine is full bodied medium to medium+ acidity, medium + fine tannins that moves into a long bkack fruit leather finish. Have a great weekend and enjoy some good wine. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Pitch black colour. Black currants and licorice, old rope and tar. Harmonious tannins and great length.

Nov 21st, 2021Bold not too fruity with a dry finish. Strong legs and went great with steak

Sep 19th, 2021Notes of plum, black currant, and even tar, plus earthiness. A bit thin but with a sharper and organic finish. Not bad, but not great.

Apr 12th, 2021Abundant tobacco, earth, tar, smoke and oak aromas and flavors. There is some dark plum and black currant fruit, but they are way in the background. This wine is dominated by the organics. Deep and dark color. Full and sharp finish. This one needs a decant to calm down a bit.
