Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

Thursday night I opened the 2010 Chateau Maurac Haut-Médoc Bordeaux. This wine is a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon.

On the nose there was black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, licorice, spice and dark earth

On the palate was black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, bell papper, herbaceous, licorice, tar, cigar box and earth.

This wine is full bodied medium to medium+ acidity, medium + fine tannins that moves into a long bkack fruit leather finish. Have a great weekend and enjoy some good wine. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Pitch black colour. Black currants and licorice, old rope and tar. Harmonious tannins and great length.

Excellent! Smooth, well blended, easy but complex drink

Typisk köttröding. Ändå lite besviken att vinet inte kändes särskilt annorlunda trots att det var snudd på 20 år gammalt. @ Boot, gbg

Soft and pleasant, many think this is a base line French Bordeaux. I felt it lacked character

Deep ruby-garnet color.
Aromas of herbs, leather, bell pepper.
Dry. Flavors of cassis, dried black cherry, sun-dried tomato, tomato leaf, rosemary, pepper. Rich, chewy tannins.

Good wine, but is a sleeper right now. I should have waited few more years.

Bold not too fruity with a dry finish. Strong legs and went great with steak

Notes of plum, black currant, and even tar, plus earthiness. A bit thin but with a sharper and organic finish. Not bad, but not great.
