This 24 hectares estate is owned by Bruno Segond. The 2018 vintage is a blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot and a dash of Merlot, aged in oak and amphoras. Apparently the percentage of Petit Verdot is quite high, which would explain the purple rim in the colour and the violets in the nose. Another great Bordeaux value at less than 12 euros. Black fruits and violets, ripe and concentrated, with a serious chewy tannin structure and good length. While it is very nice already, this needs a few more years. Abv. 13,5 %. P. S. : According to wincellarinsider this estate also produces a 100% Petit Verdot wine.
