First time with bourgeois cru and...damn. That’s value for your money. It is bawdy wine. All ripe cassis and blackberry and underpinnings of stale cigarettes and leather that has been used for good and maybe more. Good price and good times.

A cheap bottle that we picked up on a whim at Costco. Actually, very surprising to find an old world style Bordeaux these days. Deep berry fruit with a touch of spice/rusticity/funk, nice tannins, nice acidity. All one could want in a Cru Bourgeois.

Fragrant oak vanilla nose with lingering blackberry notes. Structured body and bold tannins, dark fruit and plum flavors with a slightly astringent finish. Alcoholic and harsh body smooths out after 2 hours in the decanter, good value old world style Bordeaux
