When you have a birthday party for a 2 year old, the adults need to drink better than juice boxes...

This is in a great place right now, silky black fruits.

Nice organic wine fruit throughout but a little muted plus it’s organic. 2018 vintage.

Medium plum color with lighter garnet undertones. Dark fruits upfront on the nose with Newports and lavender following. Wet stone and dry earth compliment. About as Saint-Émilion as you can possibly get, this is exceedingly bone dry with some crazy tannins going on. The fruit here is restrained at first but gradually starts to develop and show itself. This is another very clean wine that never veers into cookie cutter category because of the high acid and complexity. The Cab Franc adds the slightly bitter earth notes that I happen to love. The palate closely follows the nose, although a bit more subdued. Notes of new leather, smoke, and underbrush. Not the best Bordeaux I’ve ever had but a pretty reliable one.

Nose is floral and clean. Wine is overtly dry and masks flavors. If you enjoy tannic wine, then this is a good choice for you. But... upon tasting, you get a quick taste of cherry flavor that is overrun by the tannin. It stays on the tongue too long blocking multiple sips. Essentially the Franc ratio is off. This is a disappointment for Emilion even for the price.
