Not much fruit. Forest floor, mushroom, graphite, bell pepper and dried herb. Tannins are still grippy, slight green on the palate, lean and hollow on mid-palate. Long, bitter finish.

Grippy tannins that coat your mouth, and that old world decaying underbrush funk, this Bordeaux is a classic. Simply iconic and a wonderful bottle to share with friends.

Opening up nicely. Well balanced. Some leather notes . Very smooth. A really good 3rd growth.

Great juxtaposition of fresh fruit, and hints of developing leather, sousbois. Silky smooth tannins, no astringency whatsoever. Medium bodied, only 12.5% alcohol, well balanced and ready to drink now. 06' vintage.

I hd the 2006 in 2019. A wonderful and elegant wine. Even from the difficult year 2006.
