this Saint Julien was tight at open. Decanted and then sang w cherries, a touch of vegetal, followed by a slight note of cranberry, then maybe some baking spice and a dash of white pepper at finish. After an hour the cherries were still dominant upfront and the wine had a velvety mouthfeel with a touch of cocoa powder. Lesser white pepper notes to finish.

Nose and mouthfeel are fine. Low in acid reflecting vintage. Solid but not special.

Smoky fruit, well developed flavors, buttered popcorn, good caramel aftertaste. 2007 curious grape tasting.

Wonderful. Tar, black fruit, granite and earthiness. Nice long finish.
