Well, welcome to another weekend. I have opened the 2018 Château La Prade Francs Côte de Bordeaux from NicolasThienpont. This is a blend of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, pencil lead, mocha, violets and minerality.
On the palate I am getting black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, licorice, spice, a good bit of minerality and underbrush.
This is a medium to full bodied wine with a smooth velvety mouthfeel medium to medium+ acidity and medium + woolly tannins that leads right into a long black fruit and cedar finish. Let's have an enjoyable weekend and please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
