Deep color, lots of extract. Merlot, Cabernet, and Cab Franc blend showing graphite, pencil shavings, black currant, and black cherry. A bit of a short finish.

Had this with a cheese based dinner. It opens up after about 10 minutes. A good wine for the price.

Wasn't for me, but I can see what's appealing. Nice fruit and structure, well developed after 11 years.

Some say the 2005 vintage is getting long in the tooth, but I disagree. This was pretty good for the price. Cru borgeois. Great with prime rib.

First nose brings fresh a dark fruit introduction which after first taste is tightly rounded with a beautiful balance of graphite, bullwhip leather and a bit of cocoa. We always love our 2005 Medoc crop and this sample us an extremely pleasant drinking bottle. The balance is what strikes me most here, spice box Jerry is in the house as well, but every flavor has a role all brought together in a smooth unity. I will rate a 91 at a great $20 pricepoint.

2014-sept-10, quality meat dinner with sandy, sweet for a Bordeaux, not too tannin, better as table than with steak.
