Chewy...Merlot driven...pencil shavings...dark dominating fruit...one dimensional. I didn't, but this deserves at least a two-hour decant. Going nicely with burgers.

Earthy, mushroom, savory , dark plum, dark cherry note. Med body, med plus acidity, long lingering smooth texture with touch of vanilla and spice, complex layer of flavor, esrthiness, fruit, structure are mingled very well, but of earthiess andstructure, moderate tannin are remains on the second palate. Ready to drink, frunk with frenchie burger. Burger wine, sauteed mushroom with lean steak can be great.

Blind would bet heavily on right bank if I didn't buy it knowing it was a Medoc Cru Bourgeois. Getting my bias out of the way, not the biggest fan of Merlot dominant Bordeaux. Maybe it's just my palate, but the "pluminess" some rave about comes off a tasting damp and somewhat like mildew to me. Although, I certainly appreciate the fruit that nice merlot brings to table, more often than not I am disappointed.

Very good. Oak, cherry, highly tannic and sharp acidity. Surprising for a 2009.

Tight wine that opens up nicely in a glass (or decanter). Delicious, with lingering finish. Restrained cooked fruit.
