Still far too young. Earth and graphite. Tomato leaf. Burly tannin. I have one more and will let it sleep for a decade.

Underripe blackberries, prunes, bittersweet chocolate, dark earth, not showing a lot of oak; balance towards earth & minerality; beautiful & delicious! - 2005

A great wine from a great year. Old school in the best possible way.

Yes it’s a bdx and yes it’s relatively inexpensive but damn is it boring. No flaws just meh.

From Tuggy. £45 reduced from £56. Smooth and delicious but slight vinegar aftertaste probably from strong tannins

Worth waiting for, this is classic Bordeaux and the wine is alive and kicking. The tannins are finally softened and smooth, the wine is perfect in balance. Love it!

Very nice wine. A hint of cork taint blew off as this baby sat. Cedar, graphite, coffee and cigar box. I would have mistaken this for an ‘09 as the tannins were still firm.

Was shocked at youthful this still is. Delicious as is, but certainly opened up. Despite its still vibrant tannins, your palate was ensconced by a velvety mouth feel that really only aged Bordeaux can provide. Currant, cedar, tobacco leaf, graphite, and dark chocolate notes. A perfect companion to follow a rich white at an impromptu tasting. Thanks @Scott Petrus!
