Apr 19th, 2016Opened it last night and I found the acidity too piercing. But overnight it has toned down and is allowing the fruit to show. Tobacco is very pronounced on the nose. It is present on the palate along with drying tannins and a streak of bell pepper, and dark cherries. Lovely finish and a beautiful pairing with duck. Old school Bordeaux that I love.

Dec 30th, 2015Not a lot of fruit left, and a heavy streak of vanilla, chocolate and a bit of coffee from the oak. Still good acidity despite its age. Bit of plumb, and a touch of bell pepper.
