Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim. A really beautiful color.
Soft nose of cherries, blueberries, wood, earth, vegetables, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, leather and black pepper.
Full bodied and bold with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, herbs, leather, leaves, earth, spices and peppercorn,
Long finish with soft tannins and black pepper.
This young Merlot from Israel is already drinking nicely now but it really needs 5 to 10 years in the bottle to bring in better complexity.
Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food like BBQ steak. Showing a tangy finish with a nice mouthfeel.
I paired it with a cheese plate.
A blend of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are hand picked and fermented without any additional yeast. Aged separately for 12 months in old and new French oak barrels.

Flat on the attack and dry on the mid palate, with cherries, blackberries, blueberries, plums, vanilla, oak, earth, dirt, cranberries, spices and black pepper.
Medium plus on the finish with full, round tannins and tart cherries.
This is a very nice Merlot. Young, but already balanced and elegant, but still not smooth.
Will be better in 3 to 5 years time.
