Loving this, 18 years old, rich and dark in the glass with no real sign of ageing. The nose is great with plenty of blackcurrant, tobacco, cedar, oak, truffle and mushroom. Balanced flavours on the palate with a long fruit, leather and Christmas spice finish. Tannins are present and a little drying but the layers of flavour keep them subdued. There is plenty of life in this wine, probably another 10+ years. Rating tonight and will update if what is left shows higher tomorrow.
