One of my favorite Pomerols. The color is a deep dark red despite its age; it does have a brownish rim. The nose is opulent with black cherry, oak and tobacco. The mouthfeel is luscious with plum, oak, smoke, and hints of dark chocolate. The acidity is bright, the tannings are firm, and the finish long and full a earthy savoryness. Complexing and involving on every sip. Paired with lamb potato purée and asparagus.
