Very light ruby in appearance. Just a bit darker than a Pinot Noir but still virtually translucent. Balanced acidity. Rock and pepper on the side of the tongue, sharp red fruit, soft tannin finish. My preference for CDR is for it to dial it up to 11 on the spice/tannin and ditch the fruit, but I recognize the complexity, nuance, and variety of flavor here.
