My 2015 allocation has finally arrived -- Musky, dusty bright strawberry, white pepper, mint, sage, cinnamon, clove and hints of undergrowth--it could only be a Chateau Des Tours Côtes du Rhône Réserve. On the palate, the 2015 takes the warmth of the vintage and perfectly asserts it’s juicy and vibrant persona, contrasting tart raspberry with saturating sweet spices and a refreshing wave of acid that sizzles upon the senese. The finish is long, still focused on fruit but with notes of rhubarb and cheek-puckering tension. Wow.
