Château des Jacques
La Roche Moulin-A-Vent Gamay
Dark, clear garnet. Inviting nose and medium palate of black cranberry and tart cherry, enhanced by a slight hint of floral vanilla. Medium acidity, medium minus tannins, and a moderately short, dark red fruit finish make this a wine for light but complex dishes. Roasted salmon, duck, pork loin, or turkey (Thanksgiving, anyone?) would pair wonderfully. Drink now through 2025.

Mar 7th, 2022This is a great value wine at the price point (~$30/bottle).
Upon opening smelled strongly of smoke and cedar, but after a bit of time the sour cherry and raspberry came out. Hints of leather as well. Tannins are ripe and pleasant.

I have had this wine 3 times and this bottle is not as intense as the other two which I rated 92.
