Top Notes For
"Odedi"

Dark ruby color with a wide reddish rim.

On the nose blueberries, currants, oak, cloves, raspberries, spices, vinaigrette, bitter herbs, earth, green olives, forest floor, tobacco leaf, spices, graphite, bitter herbs, black tea and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, coffee, oak, cloves, earth, vegetables, graphite, tobacco, forest floor, bell pepper, bitter herbs, spices, peppercorn and leather.

Medium finish with round tannins (after 5 hours of opening up) and tart raspberries.

This is a nice Red from France. Not fully balanced, yet enjoyable with food. Earthy and tangy. Showing nice complexity and a nice mouthfeel.

Still young and needs another 3 to 5 years in the bottle to mature properly. Needed a long time to open up.

I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Carmenère. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (7% new).

13.5% alcohol by volume.
