Clearly I'm on a Bordeaux kick. Fall does that to me.

This is one of those wines that could look blah by the label. Nope. Nicely complex but still relatively approachable. On the nose is raspberry jam and grass notes. Taste is mixed berries quickly sautéed over a camp fire with a bit of lemon and herbs. New Years 2022 goal drink more Bordeaux wines.

Great vintage of this entry level wine from Maison Blanche. Rich, but balanced. Licorice, cassis, sweet cherries, and some pencil lead. Might even benefit slightly from some short term cellaring.

Really nice and bright Bordeaux blend. Ripe strawberries lime zest and honey notes.

Roses and cherry jello, herbal and graphite, red fruit/plummy notes more prominent first night but faded night two. Decanted before drinking. Medium plus to high acid and medium tannin. A little bret but not too much to be an issue. Really good and a bargain too!

First concerted foray into Right Bank. Most merlot I assume, super smooth, with black fruit/plummy notes, great nose, really enjoyable and at 13pct abv just right.

Very chinon at first, Merlot is too dominate for my taste with air. Still kickass with some bavette.
