Phenomenal. The vintage is starting to hit its drinking window, with a richness that has been tamed down by time. Nose is 100% Reynaud, aromatics are delicate but full scale, and finish never ends. This is intoxicatingly good.

I could smell this all day. Delivers again. Lush raisin and wax.

Lush raisins and meat. Beautiful bright ruby. Crystalline.

Mature leather and soft notes of remaining red fruit.

Full throttle intensity. Tar, Violets, dusty peppered berries and roughly worn leather. Nothing stands out structurally though more due to its completely attention grabbing aromatic character. Not your granddaddy's CDR. Great wine to drink while recovering from hernia surgery.

2 hrs after first pour - completely different wine. Very good indeed

Both bottles were oxidized. The first was totally shot. At least the second had some underlying material intact.
