Clear brick red. Dirty strawberry jelly & leather on the nose -- not a big aroma. Raw red fruit on the palate, with chalky grabby tannins and some alcohol heft. Raw is the word I would summarize this with: acid, astringent, and a dirty aftertaste. More enjoyable after a few days open: a hard to define combination of juicy red fruit acid and astringent earthy dryness. Still not my favorite, but at least cohesive.
