This is a red wine lovers rose from the esteemed region of Tavel in the Southern Rhone. The region is dedicated exclusively to rose wine. On the eye the wine has a deep pink colour; the scents are pronounced with ripe strawberry and raspberry. On the palate the wine is dry, full bodied, with good tannins (for a rose), medium alcohol, medium acidity, and medium flavour intensity of ripe wild berries and fresh watermelon, and a decadent fizzy finish.

You want to serve it chilled and paired with rich fish, pork, or bbq (my favorite). This is a very good quality rose.

The kind of rose I’d like to lie down and taste in a decade or so, partly because it has that potential and partly because I’d love to see the evolution of the wine over time.

A bit sweet, but also acidic. Fruity and a bit floral. Overall a dry wine, I imagine it would go well with most things.
