Straight up, damn satisfying Bordeaux for about 20$, & nice drinking window now; bay leaf, crushed red currants, coriander, some cassis on both nose & palate; a bit more plummier on palate, & nice razors edge between fruit & chalky, dry tannins, which makes me think there’s at least a few years left ( if not more).

Such a wonderful wine. Nose is all tobacco, cassis and dark berry fruit. Leather as well. Gorgeous. Very complex and entering secondary levels. Palate is juicy and full of bursting dark berries and cassis. Loads of leather and tobacco and rustic tannin. but they are ripe. Great Medoc and an insane value. Think it was $18.

Apr 6th, 2023Nose of tobacco, gravel, cassis, dusty, classic left bank Bordeaux. So good. Love this little wine. Juicy, ripe and pure. Red fruited and grainy tannins. Supple, succulent, fresh and long. Always a terrific value. Good body and opulence.

Jul 5th, 2020Hugely fruited nose at this point. Big deep cassis. Some smoke and tobacco underneath. Bing cherry as well. Nice nose. Round. Vivid. Palate is ripe and juicy with terrific freshness and thrust. Very pure and clean. Lovey note of tobacco leaf on the finish with some nice minerality. Very well made. No rush. Can last and improve 10 years.

Ripe as well.Palate is fresh and energetic with good fruit and nice tobacco leaf and mineral flavors. Very juicy. Good ripe yet big tannins. Long finish. Such a killer value.

Sep 15th, 2018Great little wine. At 6 years old this is firing on all cylinders. Nose of cassis, smoke, graphite. Leather. Classic medoc. Even floral. Some menthol and tannin. Juicy oh so juicy and very compact. Nice ripe sweet tannins. No rush. Maybe 5 more good years left.

Jan 5th, 2017Big, ripe, Medoc nose. Tar, leather, tobacco, cassis, cocoa, coffee. Wow this has gotten really good since last time. Nice full body, big fruit, ripe and dark with good stoniness. Very juicy. Long for what it is. Age has mellowed this out.
