I must say- as bad as our Haut Brion experience was this was just the opposite. Excellent tasting, tour, atmosphere and of course the wine

1999 Vintage - was worth holding on to this one! Enjoying with some Chimay cheese and wishing I had another bottle. This is your typical dark Bordeaux, but uniquely smooth. The finish probably isn't as powerful as it was five years ago, but the tannins have really softened. Fruit of cherry and strawberry hits you first and then the vanilla jumps in for the finish. The second glass brought a stronger finish.
