Château Baret
Pessac-Léognan White Bordeaux Blend
First time having this one. Somewhat racy acidity. Lighter body. A little oily texture to it that adds to the body. Lemon curd and peaches. Nice finish that lingers a bit. 12.5%ABV. 100% Sauvignon. I would like to try this again with a nice piece of halibut.

Aug 8th, 2020So... I've rated this before. Consistent with previous, maybe some tangerine with the peach. Pairing nicely with swordfish.

This may be my first white review.
This is a white wine.
Medium lemon color, some viscosity on the glass. Medium plus body. Green apple nose with a hint of peach. More than a hint of peach on the palate. Delicious. Nice finish.

2011. Cotton candy and confined fruit. Juicy, lasting, honey, pear, rich and smooth, almost somewhat smokey + the usual suspects buttery and oak. I had this one as an aperitif, which goes down nice and easy. Great value for money at roughly €11 at any Lidl store in France currently featuring this label. High ratings as I was really surprised by the value for money aspect: satisfaction = perception - expectation!
