Pleasantly plummy with blackberry, cedar, pine cone, even a little black mission fig. 09 seems to be a crowd pleasing vintage. Soft enough to be approachable now. There's some power wrapped up in the core, would love to see the 09s with a few more years. Nice value.

Apr 9th, 2018Currants and leather on the nose. Good, stout tannins- might be too strong for some. Black cherry, pepper and light mineral on the pallet.

Oct 13th, 2017Extremely smooth, nice sweetness from the fruit, really deep and rich aspects to this wine. Paired with aubergines and fish with a homemade red sauce (using fresh herbs from the windowsill) and it matched nicely. I'd buy it again, maybe even a few bottles for the next few years.

Jul 30th, 2017Started off a bit tight but is smoothing out nicely. Most definitely Pessac in depth of flavor and complexity.
