Brambly earth, black And red wet clay with a stemmy, toasted, almost volcanic note swirled into a mud puddle. Molasses, bakers chocolate, river flowers and muted african violet on the nose. Treacle upfront leads to espresso and black currant, anise and burnt coffee cake. Lingering coffee liquer and mixed olives. After 20 min., this included dark. Almost burnt caramel and freshly turned earth. A really nice wine. Not rustic per se, but very subterranean.
