Hungarian sparkling from region of Balaton lake. 100% Chardonnay, classic method.
At the end of the day - didn't blow me away)))) Bit too heavy and sweet for a Brut.
Dense straw colored.
Pretty stable and refined perlage.
The bouquet shows hay, wheat bread, caramel, stonefruits , crushed almond and whiff of iodine (how come?).
Medium+ body, acidity is ok. Ripe yellow apple, yellow plum, cantaloupe, kumquat, nougat flavors.
Quite bitter not impressive finish of medium length.
Served as aperitif.
