Superb crisp lager. In its own way, as good as the best Belgian beers I've tasted.

A favourite of mine. This English lager is smooth, with a subtle malt flavour that has the slightest hint of fruit. Brewed using Saaz and Cascade hops it is in its finally stages re-fremented with champagne yeast and Nelson Sauvin hops.

All-in-all a delightful lager.

I "discovered" Curious Brew about 18 months' ago. It is a pleasant, easy drinking lager from the Chapeldown Brewery in Kent.

It is clean and fresh benefiting from a nice mix of hops and malts with the added complexity and treat of Champagne yeast.

This means it's a lager quite at home being paired with a number of foods as well as on it's own.

Available now throughout the UK so as long as the quality and taste is maintained it will continue to be a favourite for me. £1.60-£2.00 a bottle.

Remembered I'd had this before. I stick to the spirit of my earlier view. I mean - Champagne yeast FFS.

Hugh fan of Chapel Down English still & sparkling wines so when I saw this....I had to try it! Made with re-fermenrated Champagne yeast. What a great lager, more hops than a traditional lager with yeasty freshness. Delish!

Quite a rich taste for a drink that describes itself as a lager.
