The 'mountain brother of barolo' is an adequate name. Not as tannic and not as structured or full bodied as Barolo, but it has plenty of similarities. Lots of dried roses and violets, cherries and some faint hints of tar. Tannins are noticeable but the acidity is there to balance it out.
