Saw Washington state governor Jay Inslee promoting our state’s wine on TV (maybe running for U.S. president too, though that seems unlikely) so grabbed a handy bottle of WA state red: herbaceous and ripe. Purple-red, moderately extracted, very good clarity. Light notes of butter and weedy herbs in nose initially, rounded yet light red fruit flavor with moderate tannin bitterness and astringency. Needs time to open. After a hour, a light cherry flavor emerges and seed tannins soften somewhat, but a bit raspy and tactile in finish. Do give it a couple of hours, a soft cherry slightly lactic acidity eventually comes through with powdery lightweight tannins in the finish that finally soften up (if you have the patience to wait three hours). Warmer days, riper fruit: Washington state is the epicenter of tomorrow’s West Coast wine production. Take this as a harbinger. Drink wisely

This is a really great wine from the Columbia Valley, WA. The guy told me this was the only winery in the U.S. growing Sangiovese and that the vines are 40 years old. Don't know how true that is. Lots of expressive red fruits and great tannins.

Would never have guessed this was a sanviovese in a blind tasting. A lot of strawberry notes. Light tasting and acidic, but pleasant. Certainly drinkable and enjoyable as a warm weather red. Nothing special however, and not worth seeking out again

It’s a perfect easy drinking wine. Not too sweet, complex without being overly bold.

Lightweight yet lovely complexity, not lightweight tasting in other words.

Enjoyed it. Not too sweet. Not too dry. For the price, this is a definite keeper.
