This was a delicious red that I had on the last day before lockdown at an excellent Tapas bar in Deptford. It was light and fruity while retaining some body but what really set it off were the background notes of Sherry, which gave it extra depth and fortification. It is for this reason that I’m giving it 8.2 rather than 8.1.
It should be noted that I’d had a glass of Sherry in the same glass before sampling red. The Sherry had already been drunk, obviously. I’m not that stupid. Enjoy!
