Bottled 2018 Glentauchers Aged 8 Years Sherry Puncheon Cask Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Utterly fantastic. Got turned on to this from a guy at a scotch place on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Wasn’t at all familiar with “single cask” bottlings...but clearly with the right person making the selection, the result can be off the charts. Easily among the top 10 scotches I’ve ever had, this is brilliant. Great nose that provides layers of sweet malt, some molasses, and a hint of peat, this has a beautiful mouthfeel with an expansive palate that just blossoms with hints of sherry, vanilla, and spice, ending with a seamless, lingering finish. Awesome.
