40% new French oak, battonage 10-12 months: vanilla, cream. Sea salt, yeasty notes eg bread dough, apple blossom, apricot blossom, ripe yellow apple and peach, apricot, lime, allspice, sweet baking spices, forest floor, mushroom. Medium minus acid, medium plus finish, full body. “Richness without too much weight due to high dry extract”.

Right there with the Big Boys of California. This Awesome South Africa 2023 Chard is incredible. Stood toe to toe with The Judge, Peter Michael, 3 no 2 kinds out of 3 Kistler Chards. Notes of tropical fruits gorgeous acidity with the right backbone. Great Compliments to their winemaker! Another Great 96 pointer in my book. Need more of this Awesome 80$ plus Chard! CB 2013

I don't rate many non Cali whites high, but this one was deserving. Beautiful notes of butterscotch and vanilla. Crisp acidity with a gorgeous bouquet.
