Medium straw in the glass, reflections of green, moderate tears. Taut golden delicious apple on the nose, along with some tropical mango that speaks of warm-climate Chard. Moderate oak influence on the nose—well-integrated vanillin/toast with lemon cream. Slightly elevated alcohol, and balanced nicely with strong acidity. Finishes with a sort of pleasantly toasty bitter oak note.
It’s flamboyant and sweet and fruity and oaky. I like it.
