To me, a good Ripasso is a classic accompaniment to a meaty red sauce. And this one goes really well with organic farro smothered in it. Nose has sweet spice, minerally gravel, macerated plummy fruit, and a whiff of sandalwood smoke. Soft and relatively full in the mouth, it had medium concentration and weight, but nice lingering flavors.

2012 vintage. Medium body, rich flavor, predictably goes great with pasta.
