Labelled at 16%. Amarone.... I should hate it.... But I don’t. Actually, I quite like it! Brooding dried fruits, raisins, but also freshness and a soft, yet needed tannic grip on the back palate. Pretty impressive!

Medium red color with brownish accents. Sampled over a 2+ hour decant. Massive nose of chocolate that evolves to amaretto and you can smell the 16.5 OH. Syrupy and very port like. Medium minus finish which is surprising. Always nice to try something new as this might be my first Amarone experience. Thanks MG!!

Mijn eerste Amarone, en hij heeft home-field advantage. En dat is duidelijk! Kruidige geur, maar na walsen ineens frisse aroma's: wilde pepermunt, anijs, dragon. De smaak is weelderig te noemen. Rond, leerachtig en een lange afdronk. Een dure wijn om te produceren, maar de ervaring is er ook heel anders en bijzonder door!
