Byron Blatty Cellars Petit Verdot 2017 Los Angeles County, California
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
On the nose cherries, sweet raspberries, light oak, earth, herbs, garrigue, Mediterranean spices, black pepper and light chocolates.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity and fat legs.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, cranberries, light oak, spices, dark chocolates, peppercorn, light earth and herbs.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and pomegranates.
This is a very nice Petit Verdot from Los Angeles County. Still young, but already drinking nicely.
Spicy and entertaining. Tangy and rich with lots of red fruits.
Needs a few more years in the bottle to mature properly. Will be interesting to try it again in 5 years.
Needs time to open up properly, so be patient. Loved the nose once it opened up.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a double cream Brie cheese.
